DescriptionThis Job Aid illustrates how to assign a parking permit to a student’s account (Steps 1 through 6).  Steps 7 through 9 provide an additional example of how to assign a motorcycle permit to a student’s account.

Instructions:

1.

Click on [] then [] and navigate to Student Financials -> Tuition and Fees -> Assign Optional Fees…

Click in the “ID” field and enter the student’s ID.

(Do NOT click the magnifying glass [] next to the ID field or you will pull up every student in the system)

Click the Search Button [].

4.

Adding an AUTO Parking Permit

Click on the magnifying glass [] in the “AUTO” row under the “*Valid Value” column to view the options for Parking Permits.

The *Valid Value column defaults to “XAUTO”.



Additional Information

Although this Job Aid illustrates the steps to assign a Parking Permit, there are other options available at this step.


AUTO” = Use to add an Auto Parking Permit

CRPL” = Use to add a Carpool Parking Permit

RPAUTO” = Use to add a Replacement Parking Permit

XAUTO” = Use to back out an Auto Permit

XCRPL” = Use to back out a Carpool Permit

XRAUTO” = Use to back out a Replacement Parking Permit

MOTO” = Use to add a Motorcycle Parking Permit

XMOTO” = Use to back out a Motorcycle Parking Permit

5.

Click the [] option to add a Parking Permit for a car/automobile to the student’s account.


[The “Flat Amount” column will change to $25 if the student has a BOGW fee waiver.]

The box in the “*Valid Value” column changes to “AUTO” and the “Flat Amount” changes to “40.00


Click on the “Calculate Tuition and Fees” button [] to apply the fees to the student’s account.  If this button is not clicked, the Parking Permit will NOT be added to the student’s account.


(Warning: Do NOT click the [] Button.  This will NOT apply the fees to the student’s account)

Result:

An AUTO Parking Permit has been added to the student’s account

Adding a MOTO Parking Permit

Click on the magnifying glass [] under the “*Valid Value” column in the “MOTO” row to view Parking Permit options.


The “*Valid Value” column defaults to “XMOTO”.

Click on the [] option to add a Motorcycle Parking Permit to the student’s account.

The box in the “*Valid Value” column changes to “MOTO” and the Flat Amount changes to “17.50


Click on the “Calculate Tuition and Fees” button [] to apply the fees towards the student’s account.  If this button is not clicked, the fees will NOT apply to the student’s account.
