NOTE: There are currently two ways to confirm a student’s consent. If you have access to “Query Viewer” or “Query Manager”, proceed to Step 1. If you do not have access, proceed to Step 1A on Page 4.
Click on  then  and navigate to Campus Solutions -> Reporting Tools -> Query -> Query Viewer …
In the field after “begins with”, enter the name of the Query: X_SF_1098T_STUDENT_CONSENT.
In the “Run to HTML” column, click the “HTML” link.
In the “ID” field, enter the student’s ID#, then click “View Results”.
Below are the two possible results:
For Student A, all the fields after the “Name” field are blank; the student did not consent.
For Student X, the fields (“Type”, “Status”, “Agreement Date”) are filled out.
· “Type” = 1098-T Consent
· “Status” = Accepted
· “Agreement Date” = 08/06/2015
Student X did consent.
This is the end of the procedure IF you have access to “Query Viewer” or “Query Manager”. If not, go to STEP 1A.
Click on  then  and navigate to Student Financials -> Taxes -> Revoke 1098-T Consent…
Enter the student’s ID number into the “ID” field.
Click the “Search” button .
If the student never consented, then “No matching values were found.” will be the result; i.e. The student never consented to receive their 1098-T Tax Form electronically online.
If the student did consent, then the “1098-T Consent Revocation” option will appear; i.e. The “1098-T Revocation” screen verifies that the student did consent.
Important: The Revoke Consent and Date Revoked fields must also be blank.
