Business Process: How to use class search
Module: Curriculum Management
Prerequisites:
Class must be created, should know subject and catalog number
Instructions:
This Job Aid will go over the process of using Class Search

1. | Click on the NavBar on the top right hand corner. Click Navigator Navigate to Class search. Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Class Search |

2. | Under the Search for Classes: For Institution, San Diego Community Coll Dist will automatically display. Select the correct Term, by clicking on the drop down and finding the correct Term. Course Career should be set to Undergraduate |

3. | Under the Class Search portion, click the drop down menu for College to select the college you want. Click the drop down menu for Subject to select the subject needed. If known, enter the course catalog number in the box next to Course Number is exactly Click the drop down for Location to narrow down search. Click on the box to view only open classes, uncheck to see closed or cancelled courses. Then Click Search. |

4. | The course listing will display below. If there are no courses created a message will populate at the top with an orange triangle stating The search returns no results that match the criteria specified. |

5. | To find ALL classes pertaining to a certain subject, click the drop down for Course Number and select the blank space and remove the number from the box beside it. Click the drop down for Location and select the blank field. Click Search. |

6. | To advance search, click on the Triangle icon next to Additional Search Criteria. Enter the additional search criteria and click Search. |
