How to Search for Classes

Description:

This guide shows students how to search for classes in the Online Class Schedule via the mySDCCD portal.

Instructions:

  1. Open your web browser and visit http://classschedule.sdccd.edu .  From here look at the "College Schedule and Catalogs" pagelet and click on "Search College Credit Class Schedule"

  1. For the Class search, the institution and course career will auto populate: 

    • Institution will always be "San Diego Community Coll Dist."  

    • For the Term, select the semester you wish to view.  

    • For Course Career, this will default as "Undergraduate."  If you are looking for Continuing Education (non-credit) classes you can select Continuing Education

     Currently, only the Summer 2019 term and the Undergraduate option will display.

    To search for classes, you must enter at least 2 search criteria in the "Class Search Section"

  • College 

    • City College

    • Mesa College

    • Miramar College

  • Subject

    • (I.E. Accounting, Biology, Sociology, etc.)

  • Course Number (numbers only)

    • Is Exactly - This will search for a specific course (example: 105 would be ENGL 105 if you chose ENGL as the Subject) Recommended choice

    • Contains - Looks for courses that contain a number

    • Greater than or equal to

    • Less than or equal to 

  • Location

    • Off Campus

    • On Campus

    • Partially Online

    • Web Online

You can check or uncheck 

"Show Open Classes Only" depending on your preference. Open Classes have available seats.

  1. Click "Search."

    Classes that fit the search criteria you entered will appear. 

    For example: If you Selected "Mesa College" and "Accounting", accounting classes available at Mesa College would appear in the class search.

  1. If you want to search with additional options click on the "Additional Search Criteria".  If you already searched you can click on "Modify Search" to change your search criteria.

    • Session

      • All

      • Primary - Full semester length courses

      • Short - Shorter than full semester length (e.g. 8-week courses)

    • Start Time - Use this option if you're looking for a class that starts before or after a certain time

      • Between

      • Greater Than

      • Greater Than or Equal To

      • Is Exactly

      • Less Than

      • Less Than or Equal To

    • Days of the Week - The days that the course is scheduled

      • Exclude Any

      • Exclude Only

      • Include Any

      • Include Only
        (You can check or uncheck

        which days apply- Monday-Sunday)

    • Class Number

    • Course Keyword

    • Minimum Units

      • Greater Than

      • Greater Than or Equal To

      • Is Exactly

      • Less Than

      • Less Than or Equal To

    • Maximum Units

      • Greater Than

      • Greater Than or Equal To

      • Is Exactly

      • Less Than

      • Less Than or Equal To

    • Instructor Last Name

      • Begins With

      • Contains

      • Is Exactly

    • Course Attribute

      • CSU General Education
