How to digitally sign a form/petition (PDF)

This tutorial walks you through the necessary steps to sign your form/petition for submission through the mySDCCD Support Desk:

Students require Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or higher to view. If you don't already have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it for free from the Adobe website.

  1. Download the form/petition to your computer. Open the form in Adobe Reader and fill out the form. When you are ready to sign the form click on the signature button in the toolbar:

  2. Select your signature, if you do not have one setup click on the “Add Signature” option, additionally you can also change the color of the signature:

  3. You can either type in your signature, draw your signature using your mouse, stylus, or finger (if on phone), or upload a picture of your signature:

  4. Click on Apply, you will then be able to place your signature on the “Student Signature” line:

  5. You can still make changes to the form after you placed the signature, however once you save the PDF it will lock the form from further edits. Be sure everything is accurate and complete before you hit save.

  6. You now have a saved and signed form/petition. Use this to upload to submit it to us electronically.
