Applying For Honors (Student)

This tutorial outlines the process for applying to become an honors student in MySDCCD. You’ll learn how to check eligibility requirements, complete the application form, and ensure you meet any deadlines or supporting documentation.

Instructions:

  1. STUDENT – Reaches out to Faculty teaching the course to discuss applying for honors.

  2. a. STUDENT will be notified to apply for honors via pending item notification or “My To-Do List”. It will appear as “Apply for honors”. Fig. 2a

  1. b. Pop-up notification will direct the student to the “My Classes” section of their “College Student Dashboard” landing page. Fig. 2b

  1. c. STUDENT will click on the class number to access the pop-up menu. From the pop-up menu, select “Apply for Honors” to access the honor’s contract. Fig. 2c

  1. This will take you to the Honors Contract. From here be sure to read the instructions and make sure that the right course information is displaying.

Once you verify the information is correct:

a. Select “Three” honors objectives.

b. Fill out the comments field (optional).

4. Check the acknowledgment box and click “Submit”.
