How to Change the Grading Option (Letter or Pass/No-Pass)

  • Description: This tutorial will walk students through the process of changing the letter option for a class to letter (A-F) or Pass/No-Pass.

  • PrerequisitesStudent must be registered in the class and the Pass/No-Pass Deadline has not lapsed

Introduction Info

The grading option may not be available for certain classes.  If you do not see a drop-down menu, then that class has no grading option.

 

Instructions:

  1. Login to mySDCCD and look at your My Classes pagelet.  You'll want to click on "Enroll" and click on "Edit"

 You may need to select a semester if you have the option to register in more than one semester.

  1. Select the class you wish to change and click on "Proceed to Step 2 of 3"

3. On the right side you should see the "Grading" label, next to it is a drop-down box.  Click on it and select the grading option you wish to change to:

 If the box is not available, then the class does not have a grading option.

  1. Click on the "Next" Button: 

  2. The next page will verify your change.  If you are satisfied with the changes, click on "Finish Editing"

6. You have now successfully changed your grading option.
