Entering Veteran Status Data
Business Process: Maintain Student Veteran Data For Educational Benefits
Module: Campus Community
Prerequisites:
Students must:
Provide verification of eligibility for educational benefits;
Indicate that they intend to utilize benefits for that term.
Instructions:
Step | Action |

1. | Click on and navigate to SDCCD Development -> Customizations -> Campus Community-> Veteran Status |
2. | Once on the College ID Card page, enter the student’s ID number. Click Search. |

3. | Add a New Value for each term the student is certified for benefits. Once a page has been created for a term, you can access it via Find an Existing Value. |

5. | The field for Veterans Orientation and the fields for Education Plan, Transcripts, and Assessment require manual checking. |
6. | Complete the Chapter dropdown and enter the Claim # field. Fill in the Original Units Certified and Original Units Certified Date. The Current Units Certified and Current Units Certified Date will be entered if an adjustment is made in VA-ONCE. The COE field is the percentage of benefit according to the student’s Certificate of Eligibility. |
7. | The CCPG check will appear if the student is receiving the CCPG waiver for Tuition reporting in VA-ONCE. The Health Fee Paid by will appear as: “Not Paid”, “Paid by Student”, or “Paid by CPGA” |
