1. | Navigate to Campus Community → Personal Information → Biographical → Names. |

2. | Use the Find an Existing Value tab and enter the ID of the student. Note: If you do not know the ID, you can search using the first and last name fields or SSN (National ID). |

4. | The following page will display. Select the Name Type you would like to edit and the information will automatically load into the Add/change a name area. The most common example will be Primary as the Name Type. Do not inactivate primary names. If you need to change a historical record use the "Correct History" option, otherwise just add a new effective dated primary name. Inactivating primary names causes system issues. |

5. | Enter the desired information in the First Name and/or Last Name fields. |
6. | Click on the refresh button () to update the Display Name and verify changes. |

7. | Click the Submit button or click the Reset button to start over. Fields will be left blank after being reset. Any information will have to be completed again. |

9. | The updated name will now display on the student’s record. |
