How to drop/withdraw students from the Class Roster

Prerequisites
Class must be created and instructor assigned to class and student enrolled.

This Job Aid will go over the process for faculty to drop students

| 1. | After logging into my.sdccd.edu and clicking on College Faculty Dashboard, Navigate to the College Faculty Schedule pagelet |

| 2. | Click on the current semester to view a brief overview of class information such as class number, name, location, dates, times, and enrollment. |

| 3. | Click on each Class Number (CRN) to view Class Roster, Attendance Roster, Permission Numbers (Add Codes), Grade Roster, Class Deadlines, Follow-Up and Class Details for that class.

Some links will not show if there are no students registered or the function is not available yet (e.g. Permission Numbers and Grade Rosters).

| 5. | On the Class Roster page, check the box in the "Withdraw" or "Drop" column. Note, if is before the add/drop deadline, the column will read "Drop." Otherwise it will read "Withdraw"

If you see a student with a FED indicator next to their name (there will be a checkbox in the FED column) you are required to indicate their last know date of academic activity. This is required for federal reporting purposes.

| 7. | Confirm that the drops/withdraws were successful. |
1. If the process was successful, the student will have a Status Note of Dropped or Withdrawn.
2. If the process was unsuccessful, the Enroll Error column will appear. Click the Info icon for the Enrollment Message details.
The most common error is that the class is a prerequisite or co-requisite to another class the student is enrolled in. In this case, the Admissions office will have to process the drop.
