DSPS services get recorded at the campus level in PeopleSoft. If a student has both a CE and CEHS career and received services at the same campuses, the same services will show up when you pull the student for CE and when you pull the student for CEHS. However, when you look up that student in the extract file, only one of the careers is attributed the total number of services received at that particular campus. The other record displays a zero. This is beneficial when you need a count of services at the student level.
To get a unique count of students in CE receiving DSPS services, the researcher should order the data based on TERM, EMPLID, and CAMPUS, and limit the data on COLLEGE = CE or COLLEGE = CEHS. Then a unique ID combining TERM, EMPLID, and CAMPSUS can be created and unduplicated upon.
Number of services should be summed up across the campuses for individual students receiving services at two or more campuses in the CE career.*
