Early Readmit Process for Students

Instructions:

This Job Aid will outline the process to "early readmit" a student who will be at risk of being disqualified due to Academic or Progress probation.

This process should only be done for students who are enrolled in the current semester.

From the Faculty Portal, under the Faculty Quicklinks, click on the Counselor Center tab. The Student Success search page will appear.

On the Student Success search page, enter the Student ID number.

Click Search. 

NOTE: If you do not know the Student’s ID, you can search using the first and last name fields.

Include History box should default as checked. If it is not, make sure to check the box.

A. If the student is new and without SSSP services, there will be no plus sign to add a new row. Review student’s information and update as appropriate.

B. If the student is returning, click the plus sign to add a new row. Review student’s information and update as appropriate. 

NOTE:  Be sure to click Save at the bottom of the page to update the SSSP page before navigating to another tab.  Failure to do so will result in changes not being saved.

To check if the student is on academic probation, click on the "Academics" tab.

Under the Term Summary section, click on the previous semester.  You should see an "Academic Standing Status" to the right with a red triangle 

Right click on it and click on Current Academic Standing to see what the student's latest academic standing status is.

A window will pop-up indicating the student's current academic standing based on the last time academic standing was ran for the student.

This process should only be used for students on first time probation:

  • 2AP - Academic Probation

  • 3PP - Progress Probation

Once you verify that the student is on probation, go back to the Student Success tab.

Under the Other Services section, if you wish to protect the student from be dropped, be sure to check the Early Readmit box. 

Then proceed to select any of the appropriate boxes when services are given.

Enter in any appropriate comments in the Comments section at the bottom. Click Save to be sure all updates are saved.
