College Approval Process

The first step in the application process involves obtaining approval from the college where the baccalaureate degree program will be offered. The process of defining the baccalaureate degree program shall be determined by the college.

Several factors should be considered, including:

Program viability, program review, program discontinuance, program funding, and institutional capacity;

Local approval from various college entities (Academic Senate, President's Cabinet, College Councils, and Curriculum Committee); and

Timelines for each stage of the process should also be established.

By considering these factors, obtaining local approval, and adhering to established timelines, the college can effectively define and implement the baccalaureate degree program, ensuring its viability, resource availability, and alignment with the college's strategic goals.
