Changing / Updating an Instructor for a Course Prior to the Start Date

This job aid provides the directions to changing or updating instructor(s) prior to the course’s start date.

Click on  then 

Navigate to Curriculum Management -> Schedule of Classes -> Maintain Schedule of Classes

1.

Maintain Schedule of Classes:

  1. Academic Institution defaults to SDCCD (if you Clear, you must retype SDCCD)
  2. Term-Type in term i.e. 2177= Fall 2017
  3. Subject Area- Type in subject area to be moved i.e. ACCT (subject area as in ISIS)
  4. Catalog Nbr-Type in Catalog Number i.e. 502 (ISIS=Course number)
  5. Click on the Search Tab

Maintain Schedule of Classes, under Search Results:

Clicking on any campus, will take to the first campus on the list i.e. clicking on NCCTR will not take you the NCC class, CCHAV will open since it’s the first campus on the list. You will need to find the class number (Class Nbr).  See next step for Class Nbr.

Search for Class Nbr of the course you are moving using A or B below.

  • Use the arrow button located beside Find/ View All First 1 of 3 to find the correct Class Nbr; i.e 11502.

OR

  • Click on Find and a box will appear.  Type in the Class Nbr in the box titled Enter search string and click OK or hit enter.

Changing/adding an instructor

  1. Click on the Meetings tab at the top of the page.
  2. In the Instructors For Meeting Pattern box under the Assignment Tab, you will see the name of the current instructor assigned to teach the class.
  3. Click on the “-“ button at the end of the row where the instructors name is.

5.A Delete Confirmation box will appear; click “OK”.

  • In the blank row, click on the magnifying glass next to the empty ID box.
  • A box will appear with a list of approved instructors for the course. Select the instructor you want to add.

  • The name and information of the instructor that has been selected will appear in the row.
  • Click on the Save button at the bottom of the page
