1 | Click on the Compass icon and then click on the Navigator icon to navigate to: Campus Solutions > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Schedule New Course |
2 | The Academic Institution value should default to ‘SDCCD’. A.) Enter the Term, Subject Area, Catalog Nbr, and Campus. B.) Click the Search button. |
3 | If there are existing sections for a course, click the plus button to add a new section of the course. If this is the first section begin entering the class scheduling information. |
4 | Begin by selecting the Session Code and Class Start and End Date. |
5 | Following the naming convention for Learning Communities below, enter the Class Section Number and tab out of the field; ONLY the Primary Instr Section will default from the Class Section Number entered. The Associated Class number remains or is unchanged (instructions on the next step). IMPORTANT FOR LEARNING COMMUNITES ONLY Check with your campus lead scheduler about using special Class Section Numbers!
Example: The class below is scheduled at Miramar College, and it is the first LCOM section scheduled, the Class Section Number is 3LCA and is not used or recycled by another section. The ENGL 31 LCOM section it will be linked with must match, have the 3LCA class section, and is not used or recycled by another section. |
6 | Enter the Associated Class Number and tab out of the field. IMPORTANT FOR LEARNING COMMUNITES Check with your campus lead scheduler about using special Class Section Numbers!

7 | Navigate to the bottom of the page under Class Attributes. A.) Click the plus (+) sign to add a new row. |
8 | On the new row, under Course Attribute, click on the magnifying glass to select the Course Attribute Value for the class section. Select CVC - CVC Exclusion |
9 | On the same row, click the magnifying glass icon next to the field under Course Attribute Value, and select EXCLUDE. |
