Instructions | |
---|---|
1 | Navigate to Duplicate ID Merge. To start a new merge:
If you are continuing on an existing merge:
Note: If you have more than one Deleter ID, you should merge Deleter ID 1 to the Keeper ID first. This page does not allow you to merge more than two IDs at the same time. |
2 |
Verify that the Keeper ID and Deleter ID are correct on the screen. Click on Find Match Records... |
3 | The process will take some time to run depending on the number of tables that need to be merged. Click Refresh until Run Status shows Success. Click on Go back to Duplicate ID Merge. |
4 |
The process pulled all data attached to the Keeper ID and the Deleter ID to create a table.
This table will tell us what data can be merged. |
5 | The Merge Status column will indicate what can be merged automatically and manually.
If Merge Status shows Merge or Merge (Special Handling), it means that it can be merged automatically.
If the Merge Status shows Merge Manual , it means you will have to merge manually. |
6 |
Once the items that can be merged automatically are identified, click the select check box of each row in the Select column (the check boxes for the items that cannot be merged automatically will be greyed Borderout). |
7 |
Once all boxes are checked, click on Merge Selected Records(s). |
8 |
Select Refresh until the Run Status reads Successful. |
9 |
Once the the process is Successful go back to Duplicate ID Merge page. |
10 | Check the Merge Status again to see if the data was successfully merged: If the status says Merge Complete, it means that the data was successfully moved to the Keeper. If the status says Merge Error, it means that the data was already in the Keeper (no move was needed).
|
11 | Double check that all data on the Deleter was move to the Keeper in CS. |
12 | Continue to manually merge following Duplicate Records Merge process (per usual) and Delete the Deleter once everything else has been moved |
