🔍 Detailed Yearly roadmap

This roadmap outlines the admission activities to take place for the first three years of the Bachelor’s program resulting in the first cohort of students graduating with a Bachelor’s degree by the end of the third year.

Will need to identify:

  1. Students currently enrolled in the Associate Degree program that would be interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.

  2. Students enrolled in a related program that would be interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.

  3. Depending on 1 and 2, outreach to students who already have an Associate degree in a related field.

Admit XX students to the Bachelors degree first cohort

  • Determine students’ interest in pursuing bachelor’s degree.

  • Encourage students who are interested in bachelor’s degree to apply to program.

Explain admissions criteria

Students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree will complete a Supplemental Application for Admission for the Baccalaureate Degree Program.

  • Department will screen applicants based upon a published set of criteria.

  • Qualified students will be admitted to the Baccalaureate Degree Program as a cohort.

  • Students will be considered pre-majors until they meet final criteria to be admitted into upper division major.

Year 1

Identify students who have been admitted to the Baccalaureate Degree Program that are not successful in their first year.

Identify students who will be ready for the upper division major beginning in Fall 2016 (one-year completers).

Based upon the numbers in a) and b) determine size of the Fall 2016 cohort that will be recruited to enter directly into the upper division program (have previously completed all lower division requirements).

  • Establish admission criteria.

  • Establish application window period.

  • Align admission decisions with normal start of Fall 2025 business cycle.

Student pursuing bachelor’s degree from 2015 cohort who complete the two-year program in one year, will begin their upper division major program.

Incoming Fall 2025 cohort of students who have previously completed the lower division requirements, and accepted to the program, will begin their upper division major program for a total cohort size of XX (including students in 1. and 2.).

Fall 2016 cohort who were accepted to Baccalaureate Degree Program, and who have completed their lower division in one year, will begin the upper division major program.

Upper division cohort will begin program.  Incoming Fall 2017 cohort of student who have previously completed the lower division requirements, and accepted to the program, will begin their upper division major program for a total cohort size of 32 (including students in 1. and 2.).

Repeat process for identify four-year applicants.

 

  1. Repeat process for three cohorts for each academic year.

 

a)  Those who are admitted to two-year program and accepted for admission to the Baccalaureate Degree Program – on a one-year program completion track for lower division.

 

b)  Those who are admitted to two-year program and accepted for admission to the Baccalaureate Degree Program – on a two-year program completion track for lower division.

 

c)  Those who are admitted directly to the Baccalaureate Degree Program after previously completing all lower division requirements.
