COURSE SECTION CS029

Name

FTES REPORTING TERM

Short Name

FTESTERM

Definition for UGRD

This element is the term in which FTES for the section will be claimed.

The following general rules apply, but please check the Student Attendance Accounting Manual (SAAM) as well as the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office website for the latest information of calculating and reporting FTES:

FTES for Primary Term Census Procedure Courses are reported in the term in which the census takes place, even if the course is not complete by the end-of-term.

FTES for Summer Daily Census procedure courses that overlap fiscal years can be reported in the fiscal year in which the census falls or when the course ends. This is called the "summer shift," and at SDCCD is carefully managed by District leadership to support colleges in meeting their annual FTES targets.

FTES for courses utilizing positive attendance accounting methods (P or E) is reported in the period in which the course is completed, even in cases in which the class section overlaps fiscal years.
