What to Know before You Purchase a Virtual Parking Permit

For College of Continuing Education Students

Are you a student at City, Mesa, or Miramar College? What to Know Before You Purchase-Credit Colleges

Virtual student parking permits are activated as soon as you complete your order online. There is nothing to pick up or display in your vehicle. Your license plate is your permit.

Check that you are ready:

  1. Are you actively enrolled in at least one class for the term?

  2. Do you know your student ID number and password to log in to the mySDCCD student portal?

  3. Do you know your vehicle’s license plate number?

  4. Do you know your vehicle’s make and color?

  5. Do you have a credit or debit card to complete the transaction online? (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). Cash payment is also an option. See information below.

Student Parking Permit Costs:

Automobile: Fall/Spring: $40; Summer: $29

Motorcycle: $17.50 (all terms)

 Discount Auto Permit: $25

Are you eligible for a discount permit?

Bring proof of government assistance or financial need to a Student Services Supervisor at your College of Continuing Education location, or to the College Police Office for CE Mesa and CE Miramar. If you had placed a permit in your cart with the incorrect amount, you will need to delete the incorrect permit from your cart, and order again. See Troubleshooting A section of the student guide.

Paying with cash?

Follow steps 1 through 9 on the Step-by-Step Guide to enter your vehicle information.

  1. Click the button that says PAY CASHIER. This will hold your vehicle information in your shopping cart.

  2. Then, go in person to pay for your parking permit. Your permit will not work until you pay.

These campuses accept cash in the following offices:

City College Police V-100

Mesa College Police Q-100

Miramar College Police T-100

ECC – Student Services Center

These campuses accept receipts from cash deposited in permit machines:

César E. Chávez Student Services

Mid-City Student Services

North City Student Services

West City Student Services

 

Third-Party Payments

If your permit is paid by a third party (e.g., Veteran Ch. 31, EOPS), you will be charged $0. If the $0 charge is not reflected during your online order, contact your program.If you had placed a permit in your cart with the incorrect amount, you will need to delete the incorrect permit from your cart, and order again. See Troubleshooting A section of the student guide.
